How does Venus Concept work for skin resurfacing?

Venus Concept’s targeted skin resurfacing treatments can effectively reduce signs of skin damage and improve the appearance of uneven skin texture, no matter how fair or dark your skin tone. With just a couple of quick sessions, you’ll notice a naturally smoother, more radiant, and healthier-looking complexion that lasts.

Will the treatment be painful?

The amount of discomfort felt during the procedure can vary depending on the area being treated. For example, treating the upper lip is generally more uncomfortable than treating the cheeks. Most people report feeling only a mild sting during the treatment. After your treatment, you may feel warm, as though you have a sunburn. We recommend applying a numbing cream to the area before your appointment. This can help to reduce any discomfort you may feel.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments you'll need for each individual area depends on the person and area being treated. Most patients usually require three to four treatments per area.

How long will my results last?

Your results will progress even after your last session. However, depending on how well your skin responds, you may need a touch-up every 6 months or so.

Will there be any downtime after my skin resurfacing?

It is important to note that there will be some downtime associated with this treatment while your skin regenerates. However, the amount of downtime will vary depending on how aggressive the treatment is and how much skin texture you wish to handle. For more aggressive treatments, you can expect up to five days of recovery time.

However, for less aggressive treatments, only 24 hours of recovery time is needed. It is important to follow the post-care instructions given by our master esthetician in order to minimize any discomfort or side effects.
